Pregnancy changes you in so many ways. You’re growing a precious baby, and you may find that you have more questions than answers about what exactly is going on. We would love to share 4 helpful apps with you—and the best part is that they are free!

1. Baby Center

BabyCenter - YouTube

This app is an incredible resource for weekly updates, tips, and encouragement! Once you input your due date into the app, it will update every week according to the week of your pregnancy. It will tell you approximately what size your baby is by comparing it to a fruit or vegetable! It will also update you on what new changes are happening to your baby, such as the development of their lungs. It can provide insight into potential new symptoms you may experience, such as heartburn. It will also provide an approximate weight and length of your baby. It can be used to track appointments. Even after your baby is born, it still provides weekly information on the milestones you can expect as they grow older.

2. What to Expect pregnancy and Baby Tracker
Pregnancy Tracker & Baby App - Apps on Google Play

This app is also a weekly pregnancy tracker. It uses a variety of visuals from different categories to give you an idea of approximately how big your baby is. For example, at 23 weeks, it could say your baby is about as big as a carrot, a football, and Peter Pan’s hat. This is just a fun way to think about your baby! It also gives science facts, such as providing you with information about what the placenta does, that your baby’s auditory system is advancing, or their fingernails have started growing! It gives daily tips, such as: “Here are some healthy snack ideas to try.” You can create a registry on this app and use it to count your baby’s kicks! Lastly, there is a community tab where you can read about others’ birth stories and chat with other moms who have a due date the same month as you.

3. Contraction Timer

4. Nara Baby

This app is great for those first weeks after your baby is born because it has the option to track feedings, diapers, sleep, and more! If you are breastfeeding, it keeps track of which side is the last side you fed your baby on. You can also track special moments and growth! There’s even a medical tab where you can record any medications your baby is taking or what time they started to run a fever. There is also a trend tab that will give you a breakdown of how many feed sessions per day, daytime vs nighttime breastfeeding hours, time between feeds, and so much more!
