Wondering about pregnancy symptoms beyond a missed period? Unsure where to find answers? We have got you covered! Here are 5 early signs that you might be pregnant.
Please note: Every woman and pregnancy is different. This is not an exhaustive list, it is just a place to start if you are wondering when to take a test.
- Nausea and/or Vomiting
Morning sickness is a common symptom of pregnancy. Do you wake up nauseous and throw up if you do not eat right away? Do certain smells or foods make you queasy? Contrary to its name, morning sickness can occur at any time during the day. Some women experience it more at night than they do in the mornings.
2. Increased Urination
Do you find that you are going to the bathroom a lot more than normal? Are you waking up to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night? During pregnancy, increased levels of the hormone hCG are produced which causes an increase in blood flow to the pelvic area. Due to the extra fluid being processed, you may need to urinate more.
3. Breast Tenderness
Due to hormonal changes, pregnancy can cause your breasts to be sore and sensitive to the touch.
4. Fatigue
Progesterone rapidly increases during early pregnancy, and you may find you are more tired as a result.
5. Light Spotting
When the fertilized egg attaches to the uterus, you may experience some implantation bleeding. It is usually light bleeding and the color varies.
